It’s International Day of Persons with Disability tomorrow, Friday 3rd December! Today I am sharing one of the moving quotes by Robin M. Eames from the anthology Growing Up Disabled in Australia.
It takes a lot to persist in a world in which you are told you don’t belong, and disabled people have some of the most steely, steadfast instincts for survival that I’ve ever encountered. We must, if we are going to live in a world that doesn’t want us. Do not interpret this as inspirational. If anything it should be a call to action against injustice.

Book Therapy – Growing Up Disabled In Australia
Growing Up Disabled in Australia is a diverse anthology of the very best kind!
How Someone Looks May Not Be How They Feel

Standing Up To Stigma
It seems fitting to round up Mental Health month by focusing on the stigma that surrounds mental health. There is a lot we can do to make it easier for everyone if we tackle the issue of stigma.
Just Because You Are Strong Enough To Carry It, Doesn’t Mean You Always Should
I hope you have people and places where you don’t have to be strong too.
Sharing Your Story With The Right People At The Right Time
Knowing who and when to share your story with takes skill and awareness, and can be incredibly supportive and rewarding.
