The Turn of the Seasons

The soul moves
through seasons too.
And like the seasons of the earth,
each is as essential as the last.
The soul in an endless summer would
soon grow lifeless and dull.
We require the falls to shed those
things that no longer serve us;
we require the winters
to make way for new life to
bloom.
